Hip-hop heads rejoice! Black Thought just announced that he's working on a project with 9th Wonder.

On Jan. 26, The Roots' frontman hosted a screening of School Daze as a part of his event series, Black Thought Cinema Presents at the Gramercy Theater in New York. Afterwards, Black Thought brought 9th Wonder, Jean Grae, Felonious Munk, The Roots' Danielle Benton and more on stage for a panel conversation. It was during that time that Thought dropped the major news.

"Surprise!" said 9th Wonder with a wide smile in a clip (above) caught by Nodfactor. While on stage, Black Thought gave some more details on the forthcoming project. "It's a first of a series that we're putting out," said Thought. "Just be on the lookout for the music that we're about to hit y'all with." We're not completely sure, but it sounds like the project will be called Streets of Thought, according to the clip.

It's been two years since the two dropped new music together. Back in 2016, Black Thought and 9th Wonder joined Styles P to release the sleek track, "Making a Murderer." Since the latest news, Black Thought and 9th Wonder have retweeted articles about it but have yet to announce any further details about their latest collab.

Although it's unknown when their next project is due, the idea of one of the greatest MCs of all time teaming up with one of the greatest producers of all time is enough to excite any hip-hop enthusiast.
