The first rule of AWGE is to never reveal what AWGE means. The second rule is to refer to rule one. Despite the secrecy of the letters that represent the ASAP Mob's creative collective, that doesn't mean that fresh merch cannot be celebrated. Earlier today, ASAP Rocky tweeted out some updates coming to the expertly designed website.
New AWGE-branded threads include a shirt, hoodie, and hats. The T-shirt is simple enough, a white and red ringer tee with red "AWGE" lettering. A black hoodie with repeated blue lettering is the second option from the drop. Black and yellow beanies sporting an AWGE interpretation of the retro DVD logo, a red beanie with blue "AWGE" branding, and a blacked-out trucker hat with green "AWGE" lettering take care of the headwear options available for pre-order on the site. Prices range from $60-$100 and are scheduled to ship out Feb. 1.
Merch is not the only new addition to the site. AWGE DVD Vol. 2 has also been released as a follow-up to the first '90s-styled mash-up video that dropped a few months back. Like volume one, the almost 40 minute video switches from clip-to-clip with various ASAP Mob members and affiliates like Rocky, Ferg, Lil Uzi Vert, and Lil Yachty making cameos, freestyling on the street, or simply flexing their wealth.
The final addition to the site is the introduction of the AWGE Forum. The AWGE Forum, designed like an old school Windows computer desktop, is essentially a KanyeToThe for ASAP fans to post everything from music to memes. Some early favorites after some browsing include the "Reaction GIFs" thread compiled of some high quality GIFs for any occasion, a thread dedicated entirely to parkour, a thread complaining about how expensive AWGE merch is, and the sure to be legendary "Official NAV Meme Thread."
Unfortunately, there's not much indication of the upcoming ASAP Rocky album fans are clamoring for, but some of the backgrounds and graphics used on the site do allude to the crash test dummy theme that has been connected to a lot of Rocky's recent performances and teasers on social media. Hopefully, that's a sign it will be arriving sooner than later.
