Shagabond is just 21 years old but he's already accomplished a lot in his young career: before he even turned 18, he caught the attention of international production duo Bondax, who included one of his tunes on a compilation they put together; a few years later he'd already performed with the likes of Pomo, Sango, Ryan Hemsworth, Diplo, DJ Shadow, Monte Booker and more; and this year he joined the likes of Jazz Cartier, Charlotte Day Wilson and River Tiber as an official Red Bull Sound Select artist. Now he's checking off another box with the release of his excellent debut EP, The Metamorphoses of Lonesome Charlie. The six-track EP represents everything we've come to know and love about the bedroom disco producer: dancy drum patterns, glittery melodies and lush sounds.

On the inspiration for the title of the project, Shagabond shared the following: "In high school, some of my friends would call me Lonesome Charlie; it was just a nickname that I eventually absorbed because of my shyness around girls. The whole concept behind the project is rooted in growing up and changing into the person you were always meant to be. Each song reflects different moments and feelings I experienced as a teenager."

Shagabond reportedly already has another EP almost ready to go that will be a different vibe to TMOLC and will reveal a new side of him. Watch for that to drop sometime in the early half of 2018, but for now enjoy his debut EP below.
