Who was really moving units in 2017? Kendrick Lamar's Damn certainly made its mark with a monstrous first week, and so did the likes of Drake (More Life), Ed Sheeran (÷), and Pink (Beautiful Trauma). Newer acts like Lil Uzi Vert and 21 Savage also earned some pretty impressive figures with their respective solo debut albums. For your convenience, we've put together a lengthy list that highlights who came out the gate strong, as well as artists who may have missed the mark from a numbers perspective.

The figures shown are album-equivalent units, which consists of traditional album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA), and streaming equivalent albums (SEA).

The first week numbers below are for artists we and our readers made an effort to check out in 2017. Peep the list to see how your favorite artists fared this year.
