Eminem Has 'Lines Ready' for Trump's Inevitable 'Revival' Response

Em, like anyone else with a brain, is also pulling for a Trump impeachment in 2018.

Eminem's 19-track, 77-minute new album Revival is out in the world now. In a new interview with Vulture conducted days before the album's release and published Monday, Em elaborated on the sociopolitical themes of the Marshall Mathers LP 2 follow-up. That internet-uniting beard was also discussed.

"[Trump] makes my blood boil," Eminem said of the more obvious political moments on Revival. "I can't even watch the news anymore because it makes me too stressed out. All jokes aside, all punch lines aside, I'm trying to get a message out there about him. I want our country to be great too, I want it to be the best it can be, but it's not going to be that with him in charge."

As for the possibility of the alleged POTUS taking the time to tweet a response, Em is ready. "I'm not going to give any away now, but I've got lines ready if he says something about me," he said. "I get almost flustered thinking about him—that's how angry he makes me. The people that support him are the people he cares about the least and they don't even realize it. At what point do you—a working-class citizen, someone who’s trying to make shit better for you and your family—think this guy who's never known struggle his entire fucking life, who avoided the military because of bone spurs, who says he's a billionaire, is really looking out for you? He's got people brainwashed."

Em, adding that he once wanted Trump supporters to learn a lesson by getting "fucked," is also quite supportive of the one thing that could actually bring tidings of comfort and joy: kicking Trump's neo-Nazi ass to the curb. "I hope he gets impeached," he said. "I'd be there for that." Same.

This growing sense of maturity, however, has nothing to do with Em's beard. "The beard spawned from looking at myself in a picture that was taken when I was 23 and I had this little patchy goatee," he admitted. "I saw that and wanted to see if I could grow a beard now."

Em also discussed Encore's admitted mediocrity, Relapse accents, 8 Mile, Jay Z's longevity, Tinder, gifting Elton John with diamond-encrusted cock rings as a wedding present, and a ton more. Check the Vulturein full here.

Though no tour dates have been officially announced, CLG founder Cara Lewis spoke with Pollstar last week and revealed that Em will indeed be heading for "select dates" next year. The shows will mark his first stateside performances since 2014.
