Drake Joined Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz on Stage in Miami and It Was Lit

After his performance, Drake called Wayne "The greatest of all time."

The current status of Lil Wayne’s delayed album Tha Carter V remains a mystery, but it appears his friendships with Drake and 2 Chainz are very much intact. Aubrey and 2 Chainz joined Wayne During Weezy’s Art Basel show at the Bootsy Bellows pop-up at E11EVEN Friday night in Miami.

Drake popped in to perform “Energy” from 2015’s If You're Reading This It's Too Late, while 2 Chainz documented the appearance for his Instagram followers. Wayne seemed content stepping back to perform hype man duties while partaking in a blunt, and 2 Chainz shifted back and forth between selfie mode and panoramic shots while enjoying some greenery as well.

“It’s like the best times of my life when I get to be on stage with my brother…you know that already,” Drake told an amped up crowd. “Y’all make some noise for the greatest of all time. He goes by the name of Lil Wayne.”

Drake’s high praise was somewhat reminiscent of the days when Wayne regularly referred to himself as “the best rapper alive.” While those references eventually led to Wayne proclaiming, “I’m better than Jay Z,” Drake’s words appeared to be more about mutual appreciation between himself, Wayne and 2 Chainz.

“I’m sure I speak for everybody in here when I say, it’s just amazing to be in the same fuckin’ building,” Drake said before embracing Wayne.
