At this point, all the Godfather II jokes have already been made, so let's skip that and get right into it: today, Wiley, the legendary grime MC, dropped the first single from his forthcoming album, Godfather II (due Feb. 16). "Call The Shots" is prime Wiley at his hypest, spraying whiplash bars over a thundering, bass-ridden production.
Stepping in for an as-always stellar guest verse is fellow BBK badman Jme who drops some serious bars and verbal slight-of-hand. After dropping his Eskiboy book yesterday and kicking off the road to Godfather II, it should be clear by now that we are well and truly entering the season of Wiley.
