Influenced by the sounds of pop, soul and electronic music, South London artist Jodie Abacus drops "Off My Chest", assisted by producer John Calvert and taken from his EP Mild Cartoon Violence out tomorrow (November 3). While Jodie's past work reveals him to be a pro at crafting catchy hooks, "Off My Chest" gives us a good look at how adept he is in a more electronic setting, crafting singalong lines over the funk-filled production.

Speaking on the track, Jodie told Complex: "'Off My Chest' is about an ongoing sexual tension between two naive friends with suspended chemistry. They stumble into to a night of pleasure after an evening of booze and smoking the jazz cabbage."

Catch Jodie Abacus at Standon Calling December 13.
