The Weeknd and Pharrell Are No Longer the Only Features on Lil Uzi Vert’s ‘Luv Is Rage 2’

Lil Uzi Vert's chart-topping debut album Luv Is Rage 2now has a third featured act listed alongside Pharrell and the Weeknd, and their inclusion came under the radar. In case you missed it, Oh Wonder (Josephine Vander Gucht and Anthony West), a London alt-pop duo, are now billed on "The Way Life Goes."

For those unaware, their song "Landside" is prominently sampled and interpolated on the song. In a meta turn before the chorus, Lil Uzi Vert nonchalantly says, "I was listening to this song, it goes like..." before launching into a cover of the Oh Wonder's original.

Oh Wonder shared their excitement on being sampled when the album came out (the Spotify version listed no feature as seen in the screenshot below):

But when did they actually get the feature treatment on "The Way Life Goes?" It wasn't at the track's initial release, but appears to have taken place a little bit after the song's high profile remix with Nicki Minaj dropped. Music outlets (including Complex) who covered the remix did not list Oh Wonder alongside Nicki as a feature on Nov. 3, but when Oh Wonder put up a screenshot hours after it was released they're clearly listed on Spotify:

Oh Wonder is now listed as a feature on both "The Way Life Goes" remix and the original Luv Is Rage 2 track on Spotify and Apple Music. The band is not listed as a feature on YouTube or SoundCloud.

Complex has reached out to both Oh Wonder and Atlantic to clarify why the band was added as a featured artist two months after the track was released.
