This time last year, Jubilee was celebrating the release of her debut album, After Hours, by hitting the tour circuit (which included touching down on the Pigeons & Planes stage at the inaugural ComplexCon). Since then, the Florida-born, NY-based producer/DJ has been lighting up venues and airwaves on both sides of the Atlantic with her unique, forward-thinking blend of dancehall, Miami bass, Jersey club, and ballroom house that's helped net her the 25th spot on Crack Magazine's Most Exciting DJs Right Now list for 2017. She's also been added to the Holy Ship! 2018 line-up, which should be the PERFECT space for Jubilee and her sound.
For those who are unaware, the Holy Ship! series is a massive party on a cruise ship. Over four days (and three nights), the Norwegian Epic will be bringing dance music lovers from Florida to the Bahamas with a rotating line-up of the freshest selectors in the land. Jubilee's a part of Holy Ship 10.0, which will go down from January 6 through January 10, 2018, and will feature the likes of A-Trak, UNIIQU3, Baauer, AC Slater, and Craze and Four Color Zack as 2¢, among others. As per usual, it looks like tickets are sold out, but you CAN join the wait list in hopes of securing a cabin.
If you've sorted out your spot on Holy Ship! 10.0, and are amped to see Jubilee, she's cooked up the third official mixtape for the Holy Ship! 2018 season, and it's an intoxicating look at what Jubilee will have in store. Genre lines are blurred, with Salva remixing Rihanna, Zora Jones and Sinjin Hawke reworking Cardi B's massive hit "Bodak Yellow," and a dope remix of Kendrick Lamar's "Loyalty" from Uproot Andy. Jubilee not only unleashes Florentino's remix of her After Hours banger "Wine Up," but she even sneaks in Burt Fox's remix of the rave classic "It's A Fine Day" from the third volume of her Magic City series, which dropped back in May.
