As the train full of shitty men who sexually assault women rolls on, another man is facing accusations of sexual misconduct. Israel Horowitz, a playwright, is being accused by nine women of multiple forms of sexual assault, ranging from forced kissing to rape.

The 78-year-old Horowitz has more than 70 plays under his belt, including The Indian Wants the Bronx (which Al Pacino acted in a 1968 production of), and 2016's Out of the Mouths of Babes. He also was the founding artistic director of Gloucester Stage, which many considered to be a "safe haven" for playwrights.

As any 3rd Bass fan remembers, Horowitz's son is Adam Horowitz, aka Ad Rock of the Beastie Boys. One of the women accusing the elder Horowitz of sexual misconduct said she was Ad Rock's high school girlfriend; the elder Horowitz drove her to his home and ultimately raped her, according to the report.

Ad Rock, in a statement, said, "I believe the allegations against my father are true, and I stand behind the women that made them."

Israel Horowitz says he has "a different memory of some of these events, I apologize with all my heart to any woman who has ever felt compromised by my actions, and to my family and friends who have put their trust in me. To hear that I have caused pain is profoundly upsetting, as is the idea that I might have crossed a line with anyone who considered me a mentor."
