Red Bull Sound Select just put on three crazy back-to-back-to-back shows in Toronto this weekend, and if you were lucky enough to attend any or all, then you'll undoubtedly agree that the inaugural #3DaysinTO was a smashing success.
Red Bull spared no expense when it came to bringing its "3 Days In" concert series to the 6 for the first time: from the lineups representing the best Toronto talent—both established and buzzing—to the epic venues to the amazing merch giveaways, #3DaysinTO felt like a true celebration of both the local talent who helped put the city on the map as well as the fans who have supported them each step of the way.
Surprises included an appearance from dvsn, who joined OVO labelmates Majid Jordan during their night one performance; and a performance from Jay Electronica, who left everyone speechless when he showed up on night two. Jay is arguably one of rap's most enigmatic figures, who—despite being over a decade into his career—still hasn't released an official debut album. The final night was a real moment for Toronto when self-styled "Prince of the City" Jazz Cartier hosted both the future (CMDWN and Killy) and the present (Tory Lanez) stars of the hip-hop scene for a blowout party at The Phoenix.
