Melbourne-based band 30/70 are gearing up for the release of Elevate, their second studio album, via Bradley Zero's Rhythm Section label. In advance of the drop, we've got album highlight "Breaking (For This World To Change)" to exclusively share with you.

On "Breaking" the fivepiece (which occasionally swells to include 11 band members) take influences from a number of wide-ranging points. There's the jazzy instrumentation which they say comes via legendary sax player Pharaoh Sanders; a rich, soulful element which comes from Melbourne's own soul scene; and finally, a deep love of boom bap hip-hop from the U.S. The net result is a groove-filled collection which should appeal to fans of the soulful rhythms of Mr. Scruff and even the Eels. Take a listen below and pre-order the album here.

Elevate drops October 27 via Rhythm Section.
