Shortly after Hugh Hefner died at the age of 91, many celebrities went to social media to pay their respects. Playboi Carti, whose stage name seems to reference Hefner’s iconic Playboy magazine, tweeted this simple condolence message:

Rip Playboy 🖤

But Carti wasn’t done. On Friday, the 21-year-old Atlanta rapper posted a series of vintage Playboy shots alongside a photo of himself.

Those images have now appeared on a 39-second video clip, which includes an instrumental produced by Carti. It also sounds like the rapper is talking over the beat alongside Lil Uzi Vert.

Does this mean he’s gearing up to release a proper Hefner tribute record? It definitely seems that way.

You can watch the full NSFW clip below. It features footage and photography from Playboy’s past spliced with shots of Carti.

The clip arrives a couple of weeks after Carti and Uzi Vert teased a possible collaborative mixtape. From the very few details we do know, it's possible that this rumored Hefner tribute track could appear on the rumored project. We'll have to wait and see.
