Just Chase is back with a brand new single and it's a confirmed bop. After months of radio silence, the talented Nova Scotian finally returned by dropping a banger last night called, “Between Us”. The slick, dance-ready cut is a bit of a departure for the S.O.S. affiliate, swapping his R&B vibes for dancehall rhythms, cool synths, and an 80s-inspired bassline. Thankfully, the sonic combo works like a charm and it means “Between Us” is fit to be the soundtrack for your sun-filled weekend.
“Between Us” follows the continued success of Chase’s debut single, “EGO”, which has racked up almost a million plays on SoundCloud since being released this past February. The song was also given a dreamy visual treatment last month, which you can check out here. "Between Us" has production credits from Hollywood P, Zale, and Toronto maestro, Major Lewis, who recently did work with Brampton rapper,Derin Falana.
The new track will land on Just Chase’s forthcoming mixtape, which is set to release on November 12. Entitled, Killing Roses, the full-length project will be a mix of uptempo bangers and new age R&B cuts to form something Chase calls a “hood fairytale”.
