Celebs Are Just Like Us: Thrilled About Cardi B and Offset's Engagement

News of Offset proposing to Cardi B at Powerhouse Friday night has dominated social media since the big moment occured. But for those who missed the Migos member dropping to one knee while a visibly surprised Cardi B accepted his invitation to walk down the aisle, the reactions to hip-hop’s latest power couple’s now-pending nuptials are almost as good as the proposal itself.

Less than a week after briefly declaring herself “single” during what she later said was an overreaction, Cardi B arguably had the best reaction of all as the prospect of marriage apparently began sinking in. 

“I just want to go to sleep and wake up and make sure this ain’t a dream,” Cardi wrote during an Instagram video post showcasing her massive engagement ring. “Thank you God for all these blessings. Thank you babe @offsetyrn God really sent you to me.”

As the congratulations rolled in, Quavo naturally congratulated his fellow Migos member on turning in his player card. There might be some strong Vegas action on the over/under for number of times UGK’s ​“International Player’s Anthem” is played between now and Cardi B’s reception.

The mother of Offset’s child took the news graciously, writing, “Congrats to my son daddy and his stepmother, whom we have yet to meet. Hopefully he at least get an invite to the wedding.”

Given her thorough amount of enthusiastic details, it’s safe to assume “Fancy” singer Charlie XCX is here for the Cardi B/Offset union.
