Beyoncé May Have Already Collaborated With Cardi B

Cardi B's engineer hit Instagram with a huge tease.

In what is perhaps the most appropriate usage of the 👀 emoji in history, Cardi B's engineer has teased what appears to be a possible Cardi x Beyoncé collaboration.

In an Instagram Story Sunday, as spotted by HotNewHipHop, recording/mixing engineer Ashby posted a screenshot of a recording session that featured the words "Cardi B," "Beyoncé," and "Demo" on one of the tracks' file names. Ashby offered no additional context on the nature of the project, only accompanying the post with the promise that the feature was "big."

While Cardi B's breakout hit "Bodak Yellow" holds steady on the Billboard Hot 100, fans are eagerly awaiting solid news on a release window for her debut studio album. The untitled release was initially expected to drop at some point in October, though that's now unlikely. In a recent interview with Billboard, Cardi confirmed the delay and promised fans they’d be getting more new music ahead of the album's release.

"So I really wanted to release my second single with my album but I'm just not as satisfied yet to drop my album," Cardi said. "A lot of people keep telling me to drop it. My dude tells me to drop it. A lot of people keep telling me to drop it, but it's not quite there yet. I was gonna release it in October, but I think I'm gonna do it in November."

The BeyHive, a Beyoncé fan account, is reporting that the track is complete and will be on Cardi's upcoming album.

One thing we know for certain is that Cardi B will make an appearance on Migos' forthcoming Culture sequel, which is apparently being executive-produced by an unnamed 🐐.
