Lesson Learn'd

On Friday, the Wu-Tang Clan announced the release of an upcoming album, The Saga Continues, out October 13. But even more exciting than the prospect of a new Wu album (which you can pre-order here, if you're so inclined) is the choice of targets on the first track released from the record, the Inspectah Deck and Redman collaboration "Lesson Learn'd": Martin Shkreli.

That's right. On the song, produced by longtime Wu affiliate Mathematics, Deck takes some pointed shots at the Pharma Bro who purchased—and then auctioned off (or at least attempted to auction off)—the one-of-a-kind Wu album Once Upon a Time in Shaolin

"Hater, wouldn’t last a day in my shoes," Deck raps. "You know very well/Bet he swell/You can tell he jeal'/My price hiking like the pills Martin Shkreli sell." The last line, of course, is a reference to the time in 2015 when Shkreli decided to jack up the price of a lifesaving drug by 5,500 percent.

This lyrical attack is just the latest volley in a long-running war between Shkreli and the Clan, which began almost immediately after Shkreli paid $2 million for Once Upon a Time in Shaolin. The frequently-jailed troll has traded insults with Ghostface and RZA. The latter, reportedly, nearly got him killed
