Partynextdoor has been grinding like crazy lately, dropping songs with Jadakiss, Ty Dolla Sign, and a solo joint all within about a week. But the latest track in question is an old song that has finally made its way to the public with Partynextdoor providing the hook for a Wiz Khalifa strip club anthem, "Rain."

The product of the collaboration is certainly not an allusion to the weather. Wiz and Party take turns boasting about their ability to make it rain cash over an instrumental provided by Sledgren and Cardo.

If the beat in the background sounds familiar, that's because you've almost definitely heard that horn before. It's the very same horn that was sampled on French Montana's anthem, "All the Way Up," and it's jarring to hear it used in another context, albeit on a beat that otherwise shares little similarity. When you've already heard it hundreds, maybe thousands of times as the fulcrum of another song, it's not easy to dismiss.

Though Sledgren did not dismiss the similarity, he claimed the song was actually made before the release of "All the Way Up" when the song leaked over the weekend, a claim which Cardo backed up soon after.

That wiz and pnd song is def a leak
And it was named rain and its produced by me and Cardo and we made that before all the way up
wayyyyyyy before all the way up. 2015 really.

This would definitely explain why the song was "leaked" and not dropped officially, because that could have led to some serious issues or accusations of biting depending on the timing of the drop. Since this is an unofficial release, the stakes aren't as high, and fans can just appreciate the song for what it is.

You can listen to "Rain" courtesy of Sledgren below, and maybe this will inspire you to concoct your own instrumental using the "All the Way Up" horn.
