Just several months after releasing Know No Better with Major Lazer, Diplo returns with a new collaborative EP with singer/songwriter Starrah.

The Los Angeles-based DJ announced the project earlier this summer during a Beats 1 Radio interview with Zane Lowe.

"I did a whole EP with Starrah. It’s coming out on Mad Decent. I’m really happy with her," Diplo said. "Starrah’s a songwriter of course. You probably know who she is. She’s written a lot of amazing records. But she’s one of my favorite voices. Did like five, six songs with her."

Starrah previously worked with Diplo on Know No Better’s title track featuring Camila Cabello, Travis Scott, and Quavo. Her vocals have also appeared on songs by the Weeknd ("Pass Dat (Remix)" and "True Colors"), Charli XCX ("Dreamer"), and Calvin Harris ("Heatstroke"); however, most of her work has been done behind the scenes, writing for names like Drake, Nicki Minaj, Rihanna, Katy Perry, and DJ Khaled. Impressive credits, no doubt, but she isn’t fully content working for others.

"When you're writing for an artist, you have a set playing field," the 27-year-old told Billboard. "You know what that artist is going to do. If they do branch out, it's just a small branching out from what they already have going on... With me as an artist, I can do whatever I want to do, which gives me the freedom to create however I want."

You can check out Diplo and Starrah’s EP over at Apple Music and iTunes, or stream it below via Spotify. The project includes the previously released tracks "Imperfections" and "Swervin."
