Toronto's ShaqIsDope has a new project coming soon, and the rapper known for his lyricism and razor-sharp flows is coming out guns blazing as he gears up for the release. He dropped "Power" a few months back, "I Want To Win" earlier this year, just released "Facts" a few weeks ago, and today we are premiering the visual for "Power" here on Complex.
The song was produced by Andreonthebeat, who gave ShaqIsDope a bassy, percussion heavy banger over which to lay his muses about gaining the wealth and "power" he so desires. The track was inspired by the 50 Cent-produced TV series of the same name and was made, in the words of the artist himself, to "inspire people to get up and go get it, whether someone is playing this record at their nine-to-five, or wherever they are, this song should be that extra motivation everyone needs.”
For the visual, ShaqIsDope linked up with Zac Facts who has directed videos for everyone from Tory Lanez to Future and The Weeknd. Enjoy the video above and watch for the self-titled EP to drop on November 16, which also happens to be the artist's birthday.
