Roy Woods releases came out fast and furious in 2016, with the OVO rapper/singer dropping his debut album and an EP to truly announce his arrival on the big stage. Though he hasn't kept up the same torrid pace this year, Woods returned with a new pair of songs on Saturday night, "New New" and "City."
"City" features Roy Woods on a verse alongside Sha Hustle and Rodzilla. "New New" has Rich the Kid on the song, who delivers a energetic verse over some mellow production.
The Ontario, Canada native teased the new records ahead of the latest episode of OVO Sound on Beats One Radio, promising fans they'd get a taste of new music soon enough.

Woods' debut album, Waking at Dawn, resembled the sound and style of the projects that transformed Drake from Degrassi actor to international superstar. Following that pattern—particularly while being a part of the OVO imprint—has been helpful to Woods, who can now count other rap stars like Travis Scott as fans of his work. He followed that up with Nocturnal, an EP featuring OVO labelmates Majid Jordan and MadeInTYO. Now, he's readying the release of Say Less set to drop this year.
