Rihanna—singer, humanitarian, style icon, fashion designer, movie star, and all-around badass—is adding makeup brand owner to that list. Hands down, RiRi is one of the most legendary women to ever grace the entertainment industry. She’s in a league of her own, and she levels the game up every time she steps out to slay everything and everyone in her path.
That's exactly what happened Thursday night at the launch of her new makeup line, Fenty Beauty. Rihanna dazzled in a bright yellow crop top (with no bra) and long, flowy yellow skirt with a very high slit, which showed off high heels with shiny straps that hugged her legs up to the thigh. Her hair was slicked back in a tight ponytail and her makeup was simple and not too over the top, with gold accents on her eyes and a nude lip. She looked gorgeous, and it was only accentuated by how happy she was to be releasing her new line of makeup.
One winning aspect of Fenty Beauty is Rihanna's prioritization of inclusivity. She told Refinery29 that she "wanted things that girls of all skin tones could fall in love with,” and she really came through on that mission: her foundation comes in 40 different shades. She further explained to ET that “all women deserve to feel beautiful and all women deserve to have a choice and an option when they go to the makeup counter."
The brand’s commitment to diversity is maintained even in their promos, as seen in one of the first sneak peeks at the line.
Considering how much work Rihanna must have put in, and how thoughtful her process was behind it, her ensemble at the launch was only the icing on the cake. But damn, she really came to slay. Here are some of the best reactions to Fenty Beauty's debut and her Thursday night look:
