Canadian producer Kaytranada has been popping up alongside all your faves lately, so if you weren't already, maybe it's time you started paying attention. He dropped some new tunes with Chance the Rapper in mid-May, popped up in the background on Kendrick Lamar's Damn, and assisted Mary J. Blige on her latest albumStrength of a Woman. Not a bad year for the 25-year-old.

But he's also interested in carving out a path of his own, and thankfully for you, Kaytranada wants you to join the journey with him. Early Saturday evening, he announced the arrival of three new tracks on his SoundCloud, not for any particular reason, but just because he felt like sharing.

There's a little something for everyone in the three-pack of songs. "38" has a real retro vibe going for it, the type of music you'd see a protagonist in an '80s-themed TV show listening to as they cruise in their convertible on a cool summer night. "SUS" sounds a lot more dark and sinister, while at the same time using keys that sound like they'd be at home in one of the old Donkey Kong Country games. And the final, unnamed song features a smooth bassline that is begging for someone to flow over it (hint hint, nudge nudge).

If these are just extra beats he has hanging around, hopefully he has some other music locked in the vault to put together another full-fledged project—or at least enough to help cook up some more dope collaborations.

You can listen to each of the three new songs below.
