Not a lot happens in the new video for Ty Dolla Sign's "Love U Better," but all involved parties have definitely nailed the whole Look Cool in Video thing.

The video for Ty's collaborative single with Lil Wayne and The-Dream was directed by Ryan Hope. Hope has previously helmed videos for Zayn Malik, 2 Chainz, Sam Smith, Wiz Khalifa, and Disclosure.

Ty premiered "Love U Better" last month on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 show.  The track serves as the first official single from his upcoming Beach House 3 project, which still doesn't have a firm release date. In a recent interview with the Guardian, Ty clarified that Beach House 3 should not be categorized as a mixtape like previous entries in the series. "Beach House 3 is Beach House the album," he said. "So it is an album – not a mixtape. Mixtapes are dead, by the way. People don't even have CD players anymore." In the same interview, Ty made note of his appreciation for the music of John Mayer. "I love basically every album he ever put out," he said.

As recently as two weeks ago, Ty has been promising on Instagram that Beach House 3 would be released "soon."

Hopefully, Ty has procured a surprise Mayer collab for the album.
