2017 has been pretty quiet so far for British singer-songwriter Ady Suleiman, at least in terms of output. But for good reason: he's been prepping his debut album for early 2018. Following a string of warmly-received EPs, it's album time for Suleiman—now free of label influences and constraints, it appears there's a firmer direction in place and the first taste of this is in the form of "Not Giving Up", his new single. "This song is about taking a step back from a painful relationship and a self-destructive person," Ady tells Complex over email, shedding light on the sombre and soulful record. Filled with twinkling percussion, underpinned by a rich, seasoned vocal, "Not Giving Up" is British songwriting at its finest.
