KILLY, "Distance"

Viral rapper KILLY has already seen his first video rack up over 3M plays on YouTube, and now he's proving he's no one hit wonder with his follow-up "Distance." It's barely been out for a month and already has over 800K views (and another 150K plays on SoundCloud). The track follows the same formula that made "Killamonjaro" such a success: sing-song autotuned raps and catchy melodies over a minimal, hypnotic instrumental care of 100tones. The video, which was directed by limitedvision, sees KILLY hanging out in Vancouver at such known locations as BC Place and Gastown. This kid is really blowing up these days, so be sure to stay tuned for more from the young Toronto phenom.

RYAN Playground, "Prolongation”

Since releasing her debut EP Elle back in 2016, RYAN Playground has captured global attention for incredible vocal and production talents (her stunning looks are just a bonus); even Vogue are fans of her "infectious" music. The multitalented Montrealer is gearing up to drop her debut LP and released the first music video for the project this month: the "Prolongation" visual was directed by Didier Charette and follows RYAN as she seems to be searching for something, visiting places from the past and riding her bike. The climax happens when she meets a girl in her passing, and the mood—and the beat of the song—completely changes. Check out the intriguing visual above and stay tuned for RYAN's as-yet-unnamed debut LP.
