dvsn Announce New Album 'Morning After'

New music on the way from the R&B outfit.

It looks like it's going to be OVO Sound all 2017. Hot on the heels of yet another successful OVO Fest, Drake's record label is poised to drop a number of highly anticipated projects later this year. We started receiving some signs of this (pun very much intended) at the very beginning of the month, when OVO branded billboards appeared towering over Toronto's Yonge-Dundas Square. Those ads were a little vague but they did heavily hint at a slew of upcoming LPs. After a bit of silence, we got our first bit of confirmation via OVO duo, Majid Jordan, who announced a forthcoming album slated for sometime this fall.

Not to be outdone, formerly mysterious R&B outfit dvsn, took to social media yesterday to unveil their very own project. Tentatively titled, Morning After, the new album will be their sophomore release, and according to their Instagram it will drop soon. The OVO duo is made up of singer Daniel Daley and producer Nineteen85, who has crafted some iconic tracks for label boss Drake. dvsn previously dropped their excellent debut full-length Sept. 5th last March, which garnered some serious critical acclaim. The two also appeared on the Views cut, "Faithful" and supported Drizzy during his Boy Meets World Tour.

Details about new dvsn music remains scarce, but some fans have begun to speculate that the Morning After will have some sort of film component. This is entirely based off of the fact that dvsn shared a movie poster to promote the upcoming LP. You can speculate for yourself by looking at the Instagram post above. In the meantime, stay locked to Complex CA for more details regarding this release.
