Right now, house music producer and DJ Ben Pearce is in the middle of a very personal new project. Beginning with Ascension and continuing with his new EP Eclipsed (due Aug. 25), Pearce is releasing four EPs that together tell the story of the last two years of his life. In anticipation of Eclipsed's release at the end of August, we're exclusively sharing lead single "Sounds The Same" with Midlands-based singer Beckford. The new EP, we're told, takes place in the second stage of this period and is predominantly focused around conflict and Pearce's own personal, creative battles. "I wrote this song with originality in mind," he says. "The age of social media, everyone is fighting for their voices to be heard. To me, it creates a background noise that hums louder and louder—it's difficult to stand out and be individual."
