Kodak Black Continues Being Mentored by Master P With Back to School Fundraiser

Self-proclaimed 'project baby' Kodak Black is teaming up with Master P for business insights and community outreach.

The early stages of Kodak Black’s career have seen him make offensive remarks about black women, undergo a stint in jail, and film himself receiving oral sex. If you’re of the opinion the Pompano Beach, Florida product could use some guidance, Kodak appears to agree with the sentiment.

“Nobody’s perfect, I’m a work in progress myself,” Kodak Black said via statement in June after being announced as a participant in Master P’s Team Hope NOLA Celebrity Basketball Game. “I got a second chance and I want to help inner city kids.”

Those remarks came roughly six months after an interview with the Breakfast Club, where Kodak shouted out Master P.

“If Master P ever hollered at me, I’d holla at him,” Kodak said during a January stop at Power 105.1.

The meeting between Master P and Kodak actually happened, and was documented on Kodak’s IG feed. According to Master P, things are progressing, as he just told TMZ Kodak is “like my son.”

The No Limit Records founder also called Kodak “the future.”

In terms of business acumen, Kodak appears to have targeted a potential mentor with proven success negotiating business deals.

In a 2002 issue of Billboard, former Priority Records president/CEO Bryan Turner discussed P’s No Limit achievements.

“At one time, he couldn’t get fifty grand, and here I was giving him a check for $5 million as an advance against sales,” Turner said. “I think we sold over $50 million worth of records, which was pretty amazing.”

Master P and Kodak Black have a back to school fundraiser slated for August 14. You can read more about their partnership and P’s comments at TMZ.
