Watch Master P Pay Tribute to the 'Kings of the South'

Master P paid tribute to legendary figures from the South during the No Limit reunion show in New Orleans.

Master P's appearance at Essence Festival over the weekend was monumental for a handful of reasons. Not only did the celebrated rapper reunite the No Limit roster onstage, but he also paid tribute to a handful of legendary Southern rap figures.

During the performance, Master P gave props to J. Prince, founder of Rap-A-Lot; Uncle Luke, founder of Luke Skyywalker Records; and Tony Draper, founder of Suave House.

"Without these dudes, we couldn't be here," he said. Master P has had his fair share of success in and outside of the music industry, and it's important to him to acknowledge those who paved the way.
