A statement posted to Twitter by Live Nation read, "We are incredibly saddened to hear about the passing of Chester Bennington. The Linkin Park One More Light North American Tour has been canceled and refunds are available at point of purchase. Our thoughts go out to all those affected."
Blink-182, who was scheduled to do a co-headlining tour with Linkin Park called Welcome to Blinkin Park, has canceled all dates. They went on Twitter to share their reasons why:
Linkin Park released seven studio albums beginning with their 2000 debut Hybrid Theory. With over ten million copies sold, the album was certified diamond by the Recording Industry Association of America back in 2005. The band released their latest album One More Light in May of this year. The project, which opened at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, boasted features from Pusha T, Stormzy, and Kiiara.
Bennington, who was 41 years old, was found hanging from a doorway on Thursday, July 20 in his home near Los Angeles. On Friday the Los Angeles County coroner's office confirmed that the cause of death was suicide by hanging. Bennington had six children and was married.
Artists such as Chance the Rapper, Rihanna, Lupe Fiasco, Killer Mike, Ice T, El-P, and many others took to social media to offer their condolences.
