Jay Z Drops the Video for '4:44' Bonus Track "Adnis"

The latest '4:44' visual has arrived.

Another Friday, another 4:44 visual from Jay Z. This time around, Jay is treating us to a video for "Adnis." Directed by Mark Romanek, the "short film" features Academy Award-winner Mahershala Ali and Danny Glover. In the black-and-white clip, Ali plays a boxer, training at times by himself and other times with Glover.

Ali won the Academy Award earlier this year for Best Supporting Actor for his role as Juan in Moonlight, which ultimately won Best Picture, albeit in a roundabout way. Ali is set to star in the upcoming third season of HBO's True Detective.

As Ali stares into the camera toward the end of the video, Jay raps, "Who would've thought I'd be the dad I never had/Be the husband I've become, usually nothing come from that."

The latest clip from Jay follows previous 4:44 videos that have dropped in recent weeks, including "Kill Jay Z," "Bam" (with Damian Marley), "4:44," and "The Story of O.J." Additionally, Jay has released "Footnotes" videos, where he invites other artists and actors to talk about topics ranging from relationships to racism.

While "Adnis" was one of the first pieces of music we heard from 4:44, it wasn't included on the digital version of the album, instead appearing only on the physical edition.

Tidal users can watch the full video above.
