After some mysterious clues and some teasing online content, we are officially on the road towards the release of Dizzee Rascal's sixth studio album Raskit. Not long after the album was officially confirmed, Dizz quickly shared the visuals for "Space", the album's first single. Now, with the album's release date exactly two weeks away (July 21), we're being treated to the video for the second single, "Wot U Gonna Do?" If you saw the live stream announcement on raskit.co.uk, you'll recognise the twinkly beat and the quotable refrain, but that big heavy rap beat that kicks in will be a welcome surprise. "The funny thing about that song is," he explains, "people are always asking me who it's about, when it's obvious it's about me." Some of his '03 fans may have "all grown up and all moved on", as he says, but Dylan Mills is just as fearless and self-aware as ever.
So far the prediction that Raskit will be a return to Dizzee's grimey, underground sound seems to have been an accurate one. And, after waiting four years since The Fifth and fourteen since Boy In Da Corner, it's good to see Dizzee's not keeping us waiting too long. Peep the video above to see Dizzee in all his raw glory.
