When gut-wrenching tragedy struck the residents of Grenfell Tower on June 14, a tidal wave of compassion and support flooded in from all sides. Social media was full of people offering support, food, clothes, shelter for those affected.

A whole host of celebrities also pitched in to do their bit. Adele went down to Grenfell to pay her respects on Wednesday night, Rita Ora has been helping at the donation centres, and Akala has been using the full weight of his influence to demand answers from the government and maintain awareness of the tragedy.

Not long after the tragic news began to hit the media, Simon Cowell announced that he's rounding up some of the biggest names in UK music for a charity single. Cowell tweeted: "I am watching the footage of the Grenfell Tower fire in London. Heartbreaking... We hope to confirm a record tomorrow which will raise some money for the many people affected by this tragedy. Making calls tonight."

The single, a cover of Simon & Garfunkel's iconic "Bridge Over Troubled Water", is all-but-confirmed to feature Skepta, Stormzy, Emeli Sandé, Liam Payne, Leona Lewis, Rita Ora, Craig David and The Who. Residents of Grenfell Tower have also been invited to feature on the song as part of a 300-strong choir. While we wait for more info on this charity collab, take a look at grime MC Big Zuu's poignant tribute to those affected by the fire:
