Eminem has already left an indelible mark on the world through his music. He has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide. He has racked up more than a dozen Grammy Awards. And while he might not necessarily be considered the G.O.A.T. by all rap fans, he is, if nothing else, in the conversation.

Recently, he added yet another accomplishment to the list. It might not necessarily be as noteworthy as going diamond or landing at the top of the Billboard charts yet again, but the Oxford English Dictionary revealed that it has decided to add the word "stan" to its database. The definition looks like this:

Furthermore, the Oxford English Dictionary has credited Eminem with creating the current definition of the word:

This has actually been a long time coming. Way back in 2015, Oxford Dictionaries published a blog about "stan" and suggested it might be added to the Oxford English Dictionary soon. They certainly dragged their feet on doing it, but it’s good to see them recognize Eminem for his contribution to the English language. The word "stan" has been around for a long time now, but people still continue to use it to this day.

If you somehow don’t remember the song "Stan"—anyone under the age of 17 wasn’t even alive when it was first released back in 2000—it was a haunting track that featured Eminem rapping from the perspective of an obsessed fan. You can check it out here:
