Watch Brayton Bowman's Video for "Puff, Puff, Pass" (Premiere)

Rising 23-year-old singer-songwriter Brayton Bowman has a new smokers' anthem.

Never smoked with other people before? Well, here's the main thing you need to remember to not embarrass yourself: puff, puff, pass. In case the alliteration isn't enough to make you remember that simple rule of etiquette, watch this video from rising singer-songwriter Brayton Bowman, premiered exclusively here at Complex.com and directed by Rex Arrow, who also helmed Mac Miller and Anderson .Paak’s "Dang!" "Puff, Puff, Pass" is from the Philly-raised Bowman's autobiographical mixtape 22 Minutes Later, released in February and co-produced by Beyonce and Zara Larsson collaborator MNEK.

"I wrote this song a little over a year ago as a reminder to take a second every once in a while and chill the fuck out and appreciate what I have," Bowman told Complex. "Sure, it's technically about smoking weed 'cause I've never been much of a drinker, but I left out any lyrics about good old Mary Jane on purpose. I wanted to communicate something a bit more universal than my love for a strong spliff."

In terms of universal communication, Bowman's strong, soulful voice and London-influenced pop-R&B sound (22 Minutes was recorded in London and New York, Bowman's current home) should do the trick. As should a short string of choice Stateside tourdates:

June 17: Randolph @ Halsted - Chicago
June 23: Warsaw - Brooklyn
June 24: The Sinclair - Cambridge, MA
August 5: Lollapalooza - Chicago
