Well, this is disappointing.

Earlier this week, TLC sat down with UK’s Channel 4 News to discuss their upcoming, final album. Though the promotional appearance should’ve been a layup, Rozanda “Chilli” Thomas completely screwed it up after dropping the “all lives matter” line.

Yup. When she and Tionne “T-Boz” Watkins were questioned about the Black Lives Matter movement, Chilli gave a seemingly candid but uninformed answer:

“I personally didn’t go into any marches, or anything like that, but for me, all lives matter, you know what I mean?” she said. “Because there is a time when different groups are targeted for different things, you know what I’m saying? So, I just think that, just the whole—what happened, police brutality, against these young black boys, all of that kind of stuff is wrong, even if it was a Caucasian teen kid that this was happening to or whatever.”

Twitter wasn’t as silent as T-Boz was.

After that portion of the interview made its way onto the internet, TLC fans began blasting Chilli for saying “all lives matter”—a phrase that has been consistently used to ignore or dismiss racial injustice.

If that wasn’t enough, T-Boz also created a stir after the reporter asked, “What’s it like for you both being black women in America in the age of Donald Trump?”

T-Boz seemed disinterested. “I don’t care about Donald Trump, so, I mean, God is my president,” she said. “I just feel sorry for the people it affects, but I don’t care about him.”
