Last year, Marcus Foster introduced us to his Seramic project with the soulful electronic EP FOUND. A year later and Foster is dropping the follow-up, I Got You. Few artists can boast a guest spot from a genuine legend like Bootsy Collins on their second ever release.
It may be unexpected, but Bootsy's appearance on "Greg's Love" makes a lot of sense. That track, as with the rest of the EP, isn't just soulful, it also captures the wild improvisation and expert musicianship of Parliament and Funkadelic. And while the I Got You EP nods to the classic funk and soul era of the '70s, Seramic's production is still adventurous and firmly rooted in 2017.
