Quietly racking up numbers on a string of earlier releases, "For Me" looks set to catapult the London-based act into the arena of UK afrobeat stalwarts, one of which — Sona — joins him here on this particular party anthem.
With its catchy singalong hook, interspersed native dialogue and contemporary West African drum arrangement, the track follows the guideline that's currently dominating the scene and sound, to solid effect. Inspired by a video watched on Instagram, Ray shed some light on putting the track together: "I began recording 'For Me' with producer ATG, but only laid down a hook and a verse. Sona and DJ Sean heard the song and both fell in love with it, and that's how this collab came about."
