Anyone from the GTA will know that Kennedy Road is a famous street running North to South in Toronto's east end suburb of Scarborough—so famous, in fact, that it's been namechecked by the 6 God himself in a number of songs. Kennedy Rd. is a rising artist from the city who just might become as infamous as the street that she's named after one day. Though she's been in Los Angeles as of late (according to her Instagram anyways), she's hardly home but always reppin thanks to her moniker, and she's making great music to boot. Check out the visual for her song "Make It Last," and stay tuned for more from her.
NUE, "Obvious"

April was a busy month for Toronto's NUE; he dropped two singles including "Alaska" which premiered on our sister site Pigeons and Planes, as well as "Obvious," the video for which you can peep above. While this 23 year old is literally, well, new in this game with just the two singles out, NUE is making all the right moves towards success—he's got the look; he's got videos and visuals on deck; and let's not overlook the fact that this is just solid material overall: Interesting production, quality songwriting and a signature melodic flow that sounds current without sounding too trendy. For now enjoy "Obvious" as we have been and stay tuned for more material from NUE on the way.

"Snowbirds" is the nickname given to Canadians who escape the cold winters by moving south for six months of the year, but Harvey Stripes' new video celebrates all that is amazing about winter up here in the Great White North instead of running away from it. The frigid Canadian winter provides an amazing backdrop as Stripes enjoys being trapped in a mountain mansion with a bunch of ladies dressed in ski masks and little else. The song and video itself are all a Canadian affair with production from Fort Eerie's own wunderkid Murda Beatz and video direction coming from Zac Facts who directed Future and The Weeknd's "Low Life" video, among others. While we're more than happy summer is just around the corner, we'll happily revisit winter for 3:43 in this case.
