On his new single "Their Eyes", which features a softly-sung chorus from SHRLT, West London rapper MonroeJoe weaves a tale of doing shifts at a job you despise, spending too much time chasing girls, and late nights at the pub — all told with a playful storytelling style reminiscent of Mike Skinner.

The everyman subject matter, and his delivery, are neatly mirrored in the equally down-to-earth video; a simple affair shot alternately in MonroeJoe's flat, his local boozer and Loftus Road — home to his beloved QPR. Track down "Their Eyes" and as much MonroeJoe material as you can find for the ideal rainy day soundtrack.

MonroeJoe's new EP, Music On The Side, drops later this year.
