Afrobeats' strength—and the reason for its recent (and hopefully long-lasting) popularity—has always been twofold: 1) it stands on its own two feet as a self-sustained genre 2) its had a profound influence on UK music, weaving itself into grime, UK rap, dancehall and bashment. Recently, Afrobeats ambassador Afro B curated the MOVES compilation, drawing together exclusive bangers and cuts from budding stars in the scene.
