Dave Drops New Nintendo-Inspired Video For "Revenge"

Dave's last single was an ode to "Samantha", but this time he's got something more sinister for us with a new track entitled "Revenge". The 8-bit production nods heavily to the '90s era of Ninendo games, and the theme for this game was masterminded by Dave himself and Fraser T Smith — the south London rapper utilises the beat and gives us an abundance of punchlines, telling us how girls are dying for a title like Apollo Creed. The illustrator, Tyler Remike, helps to paint these pictures vividly, giving the half-animated visual that nostalgic, N64 feel. Director Lx pulls the story together perfectly, using the characters pushing themselves in sports to symbolise Dave's drive and ambition to succeed in music. A mini film, you can watch it above.
