Before landing on our Best New Artists of 2016 list, singer/songwriter Starrah first caught our ear with her addicting, euphoric single "Rush."
A fun, carefree song perfect for summer, the single showed her potential as a solo artist after entering the industry writing on songs like Rihanna’s “You Needed Me”, Travis Scott’s “Pick Up The Phone”, Drake’s “Fake Love”, and Nicki Minaj’s “No Frauds.”
Now, the track finally has a music video of its own. Fittingly, it's a bright, colorful visual that follows an animated Starrah around a world of sweets—like a modern Willy Wonka with a better soundtrack. I can't think of a visual better suited to accompany the song's youthful magic.
“My music is an ode to youth and I wanted to make a song that captured that,” she explains.
