For the final drop in the Complex x Sidewinder set giveaways, we travel back to 2006—the year before majors tried to water down grime's authentic voice—for a Midlands b2b London set with Birmingham's DJ Big Mikee, Mayhem, Vader and Badness, Nottingham's Wariko, Manchester's Higher Stakes and London's own Griminal, Jammer, Chronik, Tempa T and more. Spruce, Sidewinder's managing director, told Complex: "This set—recorded shortly after Big Mikee won the vote for Best Set on the first Sidewinder Raw tape-pack—is really where London and Midlands artists started working together on a major platform. I remember being laughed at by reputable people in the scene when I was trying to tell them about artists from outside of London, but after this set, those same people were calling and asking me to connect them."

With more and more emcees rising up outside the M25, this set could not have landed at a better time. Press play below—download it for free!—and revisit more classics from Sidewinder here before copping your ticket for their next event on Feb. 25 in Manchester.
