Justin Martin

Alongside his brother Christian and old friend Claude VonStroke, Justin Martin is one of the three mainstays in the increasingly potent Dirtybird empire. Their irreverent but well-crafted (and well-informed) take on dance music's myriad forms has found them diehard fans across the globe. One such fan is Brazilian D&B maestro DJ Marky, who's taken a crack at Justin's "Back To The Jungle" for the Hello Clouds Remixes package. The album, which also features efforts from Redlight, Soul Clap and Jakwob, follows the original Hello Clouds album released last year. Much of the album, as you'd expect, mainly involves house and techno; Marky's version, however, takes its cues from the title. Where the original flirted with amens and breakbeats, Marky plunges headlong into D&B territory. Martin's personality still shines through, however, giving us something that sits at the melodic end of the D&B/jungle spectrum. House fans looking for a way into the jungle scene would do well to start their journey here.

Hello Clouds Remixes drops Feb. 24.
