Complex Movements, the rising artist collective out of Detroit, continues to impress, in particular with their current Beware of the Dandelions project. The art installation functions as a performance, workshop space, and visual arts exhibition, which the collective showcased across the country with stops in Seattle, Dallas, and Detroit.
To go along with the installation, the collective released the official Beware of the Dandelions soundtrack on digital platforms and vinyl. In the above video, Waajeed, who is a music producer, filmmaker, and sound designer under the collective, talks about the installation and everything it took to put this together with the group.
"I want to make it [the music] available to those who didn't think it was available to them," Waajeed said. The connection within the group is very strong, and with the music finally out, you can sense a feeling of relief and excitement for the future.
