Rihanna wants her fans to stop pitting her against Beyoncé. The Anti singer was accused of dissing Beyoncé after the internet caught her liking an Instagram. The photo suggested she wasn't nominated for more awards because the academy didn't want her topping Beyoncé's nine nominations.

As The Shade Room pointed out, RiRi took to the comments section to shut down any perceived beef between the two artists. "I never actually read your caption, thought the pic was funny and moved right along," she wrote in response to the speculation that she was slamming Beyoncé. "Til I seen it pop up over and over! I'm petty af, yes. But this is just unnecessary! I wish y'all would drop this topic and see things from the bigger picture! We don't need to be putting black women against each other! We deserve to be celebrated, and the Grammy Academy agrees!"

Preach, Ri. We're definitely here to celebrate both artists' incredible year with the release of their albums Anti and Lemonade. Beyoncé's nine nominations also made the singer the most nominated female artist in Grammy history.

The singer may not have secured as many nominations as Bey, but Rihanna did score a whopping eight nominations for categories including Record of the Year for her Drake assisted hit, "Work."
