London-based vocalist Kaleem Taylor is back, and he's oozing silky soul and bags of charisma on new track "By My Side". Following his 2014 collab with Tchami, "Promesses", which hit the top 10 and dominated clubland, Taylor is hoping to strike gold again with his latest drop. "By My Side" opens out as a contemporary, guitar-led ballad, and then ascends into a hectic alt-R&B break section for the win. "This song talks about barriers that people might have to deal with in their lives," Kaleem told Complex over email. "Sometimes the influences of others can affect how you are with someone that is close to you, but ultimately it should be about who you're with in that moment."
